Catacomb Tree[ | ]
The Catacomb Tree is an area outside the Grand Library that allows capture of rare bug species, regardless of the current season. It can be regarded as a Bug catching counterpart to Captain Georgie's fishing trips.
Summoning bugs at the Catacomb Tree requires Gooeybomb, obtainable after reaching Level 30 Bug Catching and then through talking to Petunia.
The Catacomb Tree is reset daily. With one use of the Gooeybomb, the Catacomb Tree spawns 3 types of bugs or items. Feeding the tree will move each spawn option one item clockwise on the wheel. Spawning bugs is free while feeding the tree costs 150 with a feed limit of 3 per day. This limit is removed once you obtain the Perfect Gooeybomb from Petunia for reaching Level 60 Bug Catching.

---|---|---|---|
0 | Floating Continents | Wedge | Solemn is one of many floating continents, and is a place teeming with life and magic. Within Solemn exists 3 large kingdoms: Alexandria, Dirboros, and Orm.
Peace and prosperity has been achieved across the entire continent, but things were not always this way. There is much to unravel in this continent's rich history! |
1 | The Cataclysm | Primrose | Long ago, before there were floating continents, there was a beautiful planet that was intact. There were many people and magical beings that lived there.
But during the planet's final age of terrible magical wars, The Cataclysm occurred. The world shattered into fragmented continents, and left an empty husk of a once beautiful planet. |
2 | The World Below | Datz | Below Solemn exists a dark and mysterious place. What was once a lovely world is now an empty void filled with beings that historians dare not speak of.
Many adventurers have attempted to descend into The World Below, but none have returned. Many believe there is great darkness that lurks below us, threatening to emerge and consume the floating continents! |
3 | The Scourge | Tyrus | Historians have found traces of dark magical beings that float up from The World Below. These beings are known as The Scourge, and can corrupt anything they touch!
It is believed that the Dark Wizard was a product of a man coming into contact with a Scourgeling. Could there be remnants of The Scourge still lurking within Solemn? |
4 | Other Continents | Lelana | Solemn is believed to be one of the smaller floating continents. Current technology has suggested that there are a total of 12 floating continents which sit above The World Below.
Intercontinental travel has not yet been achieved, so not much is known about what lives on the other continents. There could be a vast array of life and even new types of magic! |
5 | Port City Deluca | Dart | The famous Port City of Deluca is a great hub of commerce and tourism. Many people from all over Solemn travel here to gamble at the casino, catch exotic fish, or relax on the beaches.
Mayor Wadsworth is an eccentric and hard working man who wants his city to thrive. Don't lend him any Dewdrops, though! |
6 | Alexandria, the Prosperous | Kylocke | Alexandria is Solemn's largest and most prosperous kingdom. It is the epicenter of new developments in technology, art, and magic.
Throughout Alexandria are many cities filled to the brim with all types of folk who want to pursue their dreams. Through hard work and perseverance, anyone can find success and fulfillment in this bright and just kingdom. |
7 | Dirboros, The Desert | Juliet | To the east lies Dirboros, a kingdom that withstands the harsh and brutal nature of the desert. This tough environment has bred great warriors and strong-willed people.
Those who dare to brave the desert and dangerous caverns may be rewarded with rare and valuable treasure. Glistening jewels, magical ores, and ancient artifacts are spread throughout the land. |
8 | Glaive, The Gold City | Oogaga | To the south in the forgotten kingdom of Orm stands a city made of gold. Glaive houses some of Solemn's most talented wizards, knights, and blacksmiths.
When purchasing top quality goods, Glaive is the only place to go. Streets and buildings are plated with magic-enhancing gold, giving the city a vibrant energy that reverberates through its goods and its people. |
9 | Dewdrops - Solemn's Currency | Promecia | All of Solemn's kingdoms use a single currency: Dewdrops. Raw Dewicite can be mined underneath the floating continent, but it is a very dangerous endeavor.
Once the Dewicite is mined, the Coinmaster Guild stamps and mints each Dewdrop to ensure its authenticity, creating a shiny blue and silver nugget of value. |
10 | Airships and Air Balloons | Thorn | Whether you're in the bustling streets of an Alexandrian city or vacationing on the relaxing beaches of Deluca, looking up in the sky will always reveal dozens of airships and air balloons.
Air travel is used for transporting goods, traveling between kingdoms, and used even for leisure. None of these aircrafts are capable of intercontinental travel, though. |
11 | The Dust Caverns | Lloyd | One of the most popular areas to mine in Solemn are the Dust Caverns. There are plenty of ores to be found along with magical Dust that has a variety of uses.
The Dust Caverns were discovered by Alexandrian explorers when visiting the Dirboros Kingdom. Some say that deep within the caverns there exists a giant serpent who can grant wishes, but that could just be a myth. |
12 | A Study on Wompers | Raven | Wompers are rabid beasts that live within the Dust Caverns. A womper has a round scaly body with a giant mouth. They typically stick together in herds and love to eat all types of rocks and ores.
Careless miners may find themselves being chomped on by a bunch of hungry wompers. Miners are encouraged to carry a loud whistle with them at all times. |
13 | Magical Dust: Properties & Uses | Asher | Dust is the primary source of power used for many machines in Solemn. Airships, trains, and small vehicles all use Dust as fuel.
Dust has many magical properties allowing it to be used in potion brewing, medicine, and even cooking! Miners often enjoy a nice cup of Dust Coffee as the sun rises before heading to work. |
14 | The Endless Forest | Hadrian | This forest is one of Solemn's most intriguing phenomenon.
Explorers can walk around the entire perimeter of the Endless Forest, but once inside, one can seemingly walk forever. It is important that explorers always remember how they entered the forest, for if they forget, they will be lost wandering until their doom. |
15 | Mysteries & Dark Trees | Pokidoki | Within the Endless Forest lies dangerous predators known as Dark Trees. These trees will prey on animals and people alike using their vicious root attack.
Some speculate that the Endless Forest is a connection to another world. Not much is known on why the forest seems to go on forever, or what secrets could lie deep within it. |
16 | The Lightning Mages | Robin | The Lightning Mages are a group of powerful magic users who seek to uncover the secrets within the Endless Forest, and to destroy the Dark Trees.
A common offensive tactic they employ is to drop bottled lightning onto highly corrupted areas while riding their trusty Whirlybugs. Only the most talented and diligent mages can become a Lightning Mage, for it is a very dangerous job. |
17 | The Magical Academy | Tara | Alexandria has the most prestigious magical academy in all of Solemn. Many aspiring wizards, mages, sorcerers, and even necromancers apply to get enrolled every year.
There are a plethora of courses offered at the academy which include Potion Brewing, Fire Spells 101, Intro to Healing Magic, Raising the Dead for a Zombie Army, and much more. |
18 | Properties of Magic | Gareth | There are 3 main schools of magic in Solemn. Offensive, Defense, and Support.
Each school takes advantage of the 5 elements which are Fire, Water, Earth, Light, and Dark. Elements can be combined to create very powerful spells. Fusion Flare, Photon Geyser, and Dragon Darts are a few notable examples. |
19 | The Dark Wizard | Freya | The emergence of the Dark Wizard plunged Solemn into chaos. His origins were unknown until recent discoveries.
A small fragment of The Scourge, known as a Scourgeling, came into contact with a young wizard. The young wizard's body and mind were overtaken by an unspeakable darkness. Many fear there may be even worse things to emerge from the mysterious World Below... |
20 | Powers of the Dark Wizard | Woz | The Dark Wizard seemingly had complete control of all 5 elements, and unleashed them in the form of devastating spells that Solemn had never seen before.
In addition to absolute mastery of traditional magic, the Dark Wizard could conjure monsters that had minds of their own. These minions wreaked much havoc on the kingdoms of Solemn. |
21 | Tarott Monster Origins | Donno | The moment the Hero slayed the Dark Wizard, all of the wizard's monsters were sealed away into small cards. It seems that their magic is safely contained inside this new form.
People all over Solemn quickly began collecting these cards and battling with them. Tarott Monster is now Solemn's most popular pastime, and almost everyone has a deck of their favorite cards. |
22 | The Edge of Solemn | Ozymandias | There are many edges of Solemn since it is a floating continent, but one edge in particular is a very special place.
The Edge of Solemn is where the hero and the Dark Wizard did their final battle. Many tourists now visit this magical place to witness where the greatest battle of all time occurred. Also, it is fun to peer over the edge into the mysterious World Below. Just don't fall off! |
23 | The Final Battle | Zeig | The few witnesses of the Hero's final fight say it was truly a magnificent sight to behold. The Hero had a party of adventurers that aided in the battle, and after much destruction, they brought the Dark Wizard down.
Then, the Dark Wizard and the Hero both disappeared. It wasn't until much later that they Hero was found in a forest, but without much memory at all. But where is the Dark Wizard? |
